Every vehicle that rolls onto our dyno—whether it’s a motorcycle, motorcycle-powered race car, quad, or side-by-side—is meticulously tuned by Lee Shierts himself.

Lee brings a level of chassis dyno tuning experience that very few people in the industry can match. His history with Dynojet goes all the way back to 1989, when he purchased the first Dynojet dyno sold to the public: a Model 100, serial number 003. It ran on a DOS-based system and used an analog CO machine placed in the exhaust to measure carbon monoxide. Now that’s OLD SCHOOL!

The dyno was personally delivered to Lee’s shop in San Diego, California, by Mark Dobek and his father—in the back of their pickup truck.

During the 1990s, Lee also served as a Dynojet representative, selling numerous dynos and personally training owners and operators on how to use them correctly. Today, Lee is on his fifth Dynojet dyno and has been in business for more than 40 years.

When you bring your machine to us, you’re not handing it over to someone who simply learned how to operate a dyno. You’re getting it tuned by someone who has been working with chassis dynos since the technology was in its infancy—and who has spent decades perfecting the craft.
